Anything that brings back Texas vs Texas A&M on Thanksgiving Friday...


...is good for college football.

But honestly what should happen is what should've happened in the first place. The SEC should just absorb about 6 teams from the current Big 12 and branch into a 4-division super-conference. The only part about any of this stuff that matters is the branding and the network. You could have the teams of the current SEC and Big 12 more or less continue to function as-is but all under the brand of the SEC and playing entirely on ABC and/or CBS.

The Big 12 has valuable properties but doesn't work so hot as an enterprise. They should just do a corporate merger here.
